Graeme founded Private Capital Research LLC in 2001, and has happily run the business without straying from the original business model since then. In 2006, he founded GF Data Resources LLC, along with Andy Greenberg. GF Data® is a business centered on its proprietary database of transaction data on private equity-sponsored M&A transactions with $10 to $500 million in total enterprise value. After 16 years, including garnering proprietary data from more than 350 private equity data contributors (more than 4500 transactions and 25 points of data per transaction), publishing more than 60 quarterly reports and hosting a continuously available searchable database, Graeme and Andy sold GF Data to the Association for Corporate Growth (“ACG Global”) in March, 2022.
Prior to PCR, Graeme was Director of Research for the Private Capital Group of Berwind Financial Group LP, (a subsidiary of the Berwind Corporation) where he was responsible for industry research and company research relating to the Private Capital activities at Berwind. Drawing from a broad base of operational and investment experience, Graeme also directed the process that provided both proprietary and opportunistic deal flow for the Leveraged Acquisitions Group. Graeme has a diverse background in the areas of finance, operations and marketing.
Prior to joining Berwind Financial Group, LP, he was:
- A founding shareholder of The Eastwind Group, Inc., an investment company specializing in acquiring underperforming middle market manufacturing companies and turnaround situations. At Eastwind, Graeme participated in the acquisition and financing of a number of transactions. He was also President of Princeton Academic Press, a book printing company, and was Marketing Director of Team Graphics, Inc., a printing industry holding company.
- Executive Vice President and General Manager, Murphy-Parker, Inc. At Murphy-Parker, Inc., a hundred year old bookbinding company, Graeme oversaw all aspects of the business for an absentee owner, and produced five years of record sales and profits.
- Graeme started his career in finance with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities as a regional institutional account representative.
Graeme has a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and an M.B.A. from Temple University (Executive Program), where he received the Dean’s Certificate of Excellence and was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
Joe has been involved in corporate finance and merger & acquisitions for nearly 25 years. Prior to joining Private Capital Research in 2007, Joe worked for Haverford Capital Advisors, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in valuation, corporate finance and M&A services to privately-held middle market companies. Joe has performed business valuations for more than 100 businesses throughout the Eastern and Midwestern U.S. with a total value exceeding $1 billion in a variety of industries, including healthcare, building material products, manufacturing, and service related sectors. Joe also has initiated and closed several M&A transactions in the healthcare services sector, where he primarily represented the seller.
Prior to joining Haverford Capital, Joe served as a Management Consultant with Smart & Associates, LLP, a national public accounting and business advisory firm, where he provided post-acquisition due diligence and management integration services and served in interim controller roles for local branches of a national reinsurance company, a national flooring distribution company, and an outsourced document management solutions firm.
Joe holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Finance from Cabrini College.
Quint joined Private Capital Research LLC in 2022. Prior to joining PCR, he was an Assistant Vice President at MidCap Financial Services LLC. During his time at MidCap, Quint underwrote leveraged loan transactions in the Leveraged Finance & Financial Sponsors group. He worked on sponsor-backed deals helping to facilitate transactions representing over $1.5 billion of aggregate senior debt commitments across a broad array of industries, including Consumer Products, Technology, Automation & Robotics, Food & Beverage, Industrials, Manufacturing, Software, Healthcare, Insurance and others. Quint began his career at MidCap in the Treasury group. Prior to joining MidCap, Quint was a Summer Analyst at SSG Capital Advisors.
Quint holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Ken joined Private Capital Research LLC in 2018. Prior to joining PCR, he was a Senior Associate at Macquarie Asset Management. In that role he managed risk portfolios and regulatory compliance for the Derivatives Desk. Prior to that, Ken interned at J.P. Morgan Chase where he supported Global Operational Controls by helping develop process improvement strategies and an emphasis on automation. Ken also interned at O’Brien and Gere, assisting their project controllers shepherd environmental engineering project from concept to completion through the financial lens.
Ken is a graduate of Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business with a Bachelors of Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Economics. While at Drexel, Ken was the assistant to the systems coordinator; responsible for financial and technological vendor support for local business with a relationship to the University. Ken was also Treasurer for the Drexel University Forensics Society and a member of Drexel’s Finance & Investment Group.
